Last week, the 1st Review Meeting of the PALIMPSEST project took place in Milan, organized and hosted by DAStU – Politecnico di Milano.

The three-day event was marked by intense work and a rich exchange of ideas among the multidisciplinary team of PALIMPSEST. The Review Meeting represented a significant milestone, providing an opportunity to assess the work completed so far, evaluate achievements, and discuss the next steps. This collaborative gathering allowed for a thorough reflection on the project’s progress and future directions, ensuring alignment with its goals and objectives.

The last day of the meeting offered a hands-on experience of the PALIMPSEST approach. Gethan Dick, from gethan&myles, the winning artists of the Milan Landscape pilot with the project ACQUA LAMBRO, guided a small experiment in Parco Lambro. We were all invited to create cyanotypes using materials found in the park and the help of the waters of the Lambro River. This creative, organic exchange provided a tangible experience of the project’s innovative perspective. A heartfelt thank you to all the partners of the PALIMPSEST project, the EU project reviewer Mohamed Gamal ABDELMONEM and our Project Officer Giorgio Costantino for this deep dive into our pilot and its challenges!
