What is the state of digital transformation of European cities? What is their level of “digital maturity” in public service provision? And how do they perform concerning the major challenges related to the governance of innovation processes?

Last week in Brussels, the DAStU – Politecnico di Milano Team presented the key outputs of the ESPON #DIGISER Project at the 2023 Conference on Connected, Smart and Sustainable Cities and Communities – “Collective Action in a Fragmented World”, organised by the Open and Agile Smart Cities OASC.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss with city representatives, experts and members of European institutions the results of the DIGISurvey on Digital Innovation in Governance and Public Sector Provision. Another meeting will be organised soon to illustrate the results to the 250+ cities that participated in the survey and to reflect together on digital transformation pathways!

With – Grazia Concilio, Michelangelo Secchi, Irene Bianchi, Ilaria Mariani (Department of Design), and with the special participation of Prof. Oren Yiftachel, Ben-Gurion University, Visiting Professor at DASTU.
