Grazia Concilio and Michelangelo Secchi from CALL joined the ESPON seminar in Aalborg in November 2025. The event was an occasion to present the latest findings from the DIGIREG project, which seeks to map the evolution of digitalisation across European regions.

The seminar also hosted the final Steering Committee meeting of DIGIREG, convened to review progress and chart the next steps of the project. The committee highlighted advances in both quantitative trend analysis and qualitative policy assessments.

Following the Steering Committee’s feedback, DIGIREG is entering a “rush” phase to distil its research outputs into concise policy briefs and synthesis reports. These documents are planned for release in early 2026, providing regional authorities with a portrait of digital transition in european regions and actionable insights on steering and maximizing the potential benefit of digital transformation.
