The tone was given from the start during Osservatorio Lambro Lucente‘s meeting last week.

As Dario Kian expressed: creativity and art can carry important messages, and this one was clear. Rivers need our dialogues, attentiveness and attention…put simply, they need our care!

During the civil week in Milano, Osservatorio Lambro Lucente held several initiatives with water at the center, and the role this resource plays in shaping landscape and guaranteeing life, lives!

Together with Dario Kian and Daniela Masotti, CALL presented the PALIMPSEST project and its Milanese initiative and achievements. ACQUA LAMBRO by artists gethan&myles was enthusiastically introduced by Daniela Masotti, while Dario Kian shared the takeaways of the PALIMPSEST adventure with the audience.

Language gaps can be hard to bridge: engineers speaking with architects? at the beginning it seemed to be a crazy idea, yet ACQUA LAMBRO project coming to life, is the proof that an “impossible idea”, like making Lambro water drinkable, isn’t always impossible.

Now, new initiatives are taking shape with Osservatorio Lambro Lucente, Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano (FAI), Fondazione Lombardia per l’Ambiente (FLA). The event was also an occasion for PALIMPSEST to prospect on a collaborating with two other projects: ECHOES (a POLISOCIAL project on marcite) and ICOSHELL’s (EU Horizon project).

Finally, Elena Grandi’s intervention (Councillor for the Environment and Green, Municipality of Milan) gave everybody a good perspective of toegetherness in the ecological transition challenge! Thank you Elena!
