Introducing Dr. Giada Casarin: our new Research Fellow!

We welcome Dr. Giada Casarin to our città-IN team as a new Research Fellow. She has recently graduated with a PhD in Human Geography at the University of Bristol, where she has also worked as a Research Associate in the last year. Giada’s research experience and interests focus on urban inequalities, territorial stigma, and practices of inclusion and participation for the right to the city, starting from the margins and adopting an intersectional approach. Her interests in intersectionality and inclusivity also come from her academic background in Intercultural Mediation (BA) and Languages for International Cooperation and Communication (MA), as well as from her professional experience in the charity sector, EDI, and public engagement.
Giada will work closely with Maryam Karimi and Grazia Concilio in città-IN project (Inclusive cities and quality of public services) and be responsible for managing the research team and partners, conducting participant observations and interviews in the field, and analyzing and disseminating the data collected.
