Irene Bianchi will be presenting the PALIMPSEST project at the Urban Design Studio, a Master’s course taught by Professor Grazia Concilio and Professor Patrizia Scrugli, of the Politecnico di Milano.
The UDS workshop a.y. 2024/25 explores future scenarios for two major urban infrastructures: the Serra-Monte Ceneri flyover and the Tangenziale EST in Grande Parco Forlanini, where the Lambro River runs parallel and close to the motorway tracks.
The students will be engaged in the collection of objects and stories about the river, which will contribute to the construction of a sculpture-machine to purify the Lambro river water. This machine has been designed by the artistic duo gethan&myles, winners of the Creative Dialogues with the project ACQUA LAMBRO for Milan Landscape pilot.
