Envisioning Translocality

Enforcing Practices
On 23 April 2026, the final event of the European project PALIMPSEST will take place at Politecnico di Milano, marking the conclusion of a three-year research exploring the role of artistic and creative practices in environmental and territorial transformations. In the afternoon from 3pm, the book Landscapes in Trouble, Landscapes in Action: Theories and Practices Between Space, Art and Ecology will be officially launched!
The book Landscapes in Trouble, Landscapes in Action: Theories and Practices Between Space, Art and Ecology (Mimesis International), edited by Francesca Berni and Irene Bianchi, represents one of the project’s main outcomes. Emerging from a three-year process of interviews, conversations, and shared practices, the volume brings together diverse contributions (from landscape architecture and philosophy to design and the performing arts) that explore landscape both as a site where contemporary crises become visible and as a field for experimentation.
The book opens pathways for thinking and acting otherwise, proposing a shift from landscape as a static object to landscape as a dynamic, relational and evolving process.
The presentation will be followed by a discussion with scholars and guests, creating a space for exchange between research, design and artistic practices.
