PALIMPSEST 3rd Residential Workshop is about to start!

The history of Milan is intertwined with that of its waters. Rivers, canals, “navigli” and groundwater flow like veins through the territory; artificial reservoirs, small water bodies, quarry lakes and “fontanili” have given life and shape to the landscape for centuries. Now, decades after the economic and industrial boom that overturned the Lombard and Milanese landscape, these waters have largely disappeared from sight, from maps and, somehow, from the collective consciousness.

PALIMPSEST, a NEB founded project, aims to revive this relationship between Milan and its water. During this week, we will explore Milan’s challenges and immerse ourselves in the Milanese context in order to deepen the artistic proposal “Acqua Lambro” by gethan&myles.

The 1st Milan Residential Workshop with the participation of artists, PALIMPSEST partners and local stakeholders will start on 17th June and run until 24th June in Milan!
