These past weeks, CALL has been working with artists gethan&miles on the development of their project that aimes to integrate the transformative power of creative action around the river Lambro. This artist residency is lead as part of PALIMPSEST – Creative Drivers for Sustainable Living Heritage Research Project.

At the beginning of December, gethan&mylan spent three days in Milan preparing the construction of the “impossible” machine, due to be unveiled in March 2025.

The days were dedicated to visiting possible sites along the Lambro river for the construction of the water-purifying machine, going to the glassmaker to discuss the development of glass bottles for the project and selecting the materials already collected.

The team also returned to the river during another programmed cleaning of the siphon to select more objects to use as part of the machine. And surprise! Dozens of yellow ducks emerged from the water!

Ducks, ducks, ducks!
