Local Organizations and Urban Space Innovation

The territory of the Municipality 9 – Milan

Presentation of local innovation initiatives, organized in collaboration with the Ife civic lab active in
Municipality 9 in Milan, in dialogue with students from the Urban Planning Laboratory engaged in
the project of public spaces and ecological connections for the northwest area of the Milanese
territory.

The meeting will showcase innovative initiatives in constructing spaces to accommodate services,
experimenting with new practices and tools for root grass initiatives, and implementing actions
related to sports and slow mobility in public areas. The initiative marks the start of a synergy
between teaching and research within the local IFe civic lab, involving associations and citizens in
reflecting on ongoing changes in their territories and focusing on proposals for public space design and ecologival connections within Municipality 9 in Milan.
